The Main Role:
Supervise and ensure quality controls on incoming raw materials and packaging in accordance to the group guidelines, in order to avoid any quality related issue that could emerge once the goods are used on the production line.
Supervise and ensure the right execution of physical and chemical analysis for raw material, semi-finished and finished goods, in order to guarantee the technological quality and the marketability of our products.
The Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the correct activity of laboratory analysis, both chemical, physical & packaging, and performing sensory panel in accordance with the methods defined by the central lab.
2. Assure an effective management of laboratories within the plant according to the central guidelines (reagent storage management, instrument calibration, application of safety regulations, application of central methods on portal, etc.)
3. Perform internal and external sampling according to the sampling plans on SAP, in compliance with relevant requirements such as packaging and raw material’s statements, the food safety and safety standards, international guidelines established for production, warehouses and laboratories.
4. Ensure the collection and the preparation of the samples taken, accordingly with the standard defined by the central team, identify samples and ensure delivery to internal and external laboratories.
5. Assure that relations between Production, FQD (Central Quality Team) and Plant Quality Assurance to finalize the laboratory analysis execution.
6. Assures the execution of appropriate laboratory analysis by taking into consideration materials and products to be analyzed.
7. Performs qualitative analysis on materials, by using adequate instruments.
8. Elaborate data on SAP.
9. Elaborate the results of the control calendars within the tables/lots of control in SAP
10. Supervise data analysis and interpretation, guaranteeing a proper result finding activity and related IT data entry.
11. Systematically analyze inbound raw material, semi-finished and finished goods, providing warnings on anomalies, if necessary.
12. Release non-conformity reports, anytime monitored parameter shows “out of standard” values.
13. Create quality notification in SAP in case of material out of specification result and work with supplier until the problem is resolved and corrective actions taken.
14. Support local team regarding claims. Elaborate and manage claims on SAP, according to given guidelines.
15. Assure that laboratory instruments are all available and properly working.
16. Record good movements on SAP (e.g. stock for quality controls / locked stocks / stock on behalf of third parties.
17. Perform controls on packaging material stocks.
18. Collect offers/donations given to purchase new laboratory instruments and materials.
19. Conduce purchasing related negotiations along with Technical Purchasing department.
20. Execute the purchase requisitions of consumables, chemicals and / or material analysis, new instruments/tools in line with company procedures
21. Perform inspection on internal and external warehouses as well as on logistics services.
22. Manage and develop potentials of subordinates in accordance to company principles. Assures, within the area, effectiveness in terms of structure organization and working shifts.
Knowledge including: education, qualifications and training
23. BSc degree in food science, food chemistry, analytical chemistry or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience in food industry.
24. Knowledge of analytical and sensory testing methods.
25. Knowledge of SAP QM.
26. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control
27. Knowledge in quality standards and of specifications given by central quality team, regarding sampling techniques, laboratory analysis techniques, chemistry and microbiology.
28. Knowledge of calibration
29. Good knowledge of ISO, FSSC requirements and familiar with the production technique and quality standards for food industry.
30. Analytical, independent, detailed and good at information gathering and analysis reporting.
31. Good knowledge of legal and corporate requirements to ingredients/products/packaging materials testing.
32. Advanced PC user (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook)
33. Experience in internal auditing of Quality and Food safety management system
34. Good knowledge of English language.
