Responsibilities The employee will be employed as an Electrical and Installation Quality Engineer within the Quality Department and will report to the Department Manager of his/her delegate.
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following: Monitor, review and audit the electrical and installation quality of our equipment up to and including handover to our clients.
Assist and support the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning functions in conducting their duties to complete the final assembly and installation of the cranes on site.
Maintain a customer focused approach to assist and drive customer satisfaction.
Act as a point of contact for key installation quality and electrical issues.
Use the appropriate tools (e.g.
SCAR's, 8D, BSM) to facilitate root cause analysis and verify timely corrective actions for quality issues.
Develop reports and KPI from available data.
Drive change management initiatives, to ensure process improvements are effective and adopted.
Undertake special projects as required and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Deliver training regarding quality awareness, especially on those issues related to electrical assembly and installation.
Facilitate the escalation of unresolved quality issues.
Work with users and coordinate with external departments for purpose of continuous improvement and development.
Ensure quality, environmental and Health & Safety standards are always maintained.
Travel for short periods locally and internationally will be a requirement of this position.
Any other duties as directed by management from time to time.
Qualifications Requirements and Experience A third level qualification in a relevant field or proven work experience in an electrical engineering function or related roles.
Experience working in an office and site environment.
More than 2 years in a similar role.
Process improvement experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Have a careful, conscientious, and methodical approach.
Effective communicator.
Willingness to self-learn and improve.
Excellent project management skills.
