Planner Role
We are seeking a Planner to join our client's team on a six-month fixed-term contract basis. The role is based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Planner will possess strong project and time management skills, use creative approaches to achieve goals, have a willingness to be flexible, and be a driver of change.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create, process, scan, and archive purchase orders.
* Support production and external customer needs with the supply chain team.
* Collaborate with all departments as required to comply with assigned company projects.
* Work with the Lead Planner/Buyer for schedule-related activities in the manufacturing area.
* Provide daily feedback to customer service regarding customer expedite requests, order status updates, and problem orders on the shop floor.
* Advise on deliveries and plan the scheduling of jobs to the shop floor.
* Deal with vendor and customer contacts via phone and email.
* Liaise with production to obtain answers to expedited items.
* Work with the Lead Planner/Buyer to ensure delivery of KPIs and weekly reports for management.
* Data entry on the ERP system and running work benches.
* Liaise with Production/Engineering to send purchase orders to vendors.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.
* Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
* Ability to read engineering drawings is an advantage.
* Ability to establish and achieve continuous improvement goals.
* Effective communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Proactive self-starter who can work independently without supervision.
* Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks.
* Positive attitude and motivation for the role.
* Operate to the highest ethical and professional standards with a strong work ethic.
The Offer
This is a six-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary between €30,000-€45,000 depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
