About the Role
Our client in the Public/Healthcare sector is seeking a skilled Maintenance/Facilities Manager to oversee their site in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
This is a contract position initially, with the primary objective of delivering high-quality, cost-effective services and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement an IT development program
* Manage the performance and maintenance of buildings, including mechanical and electrical services
* Participate in and manage new development projects
* Develop annual building and maintenance plans, encompassing minor/major capital expenditures, energy management, and PEMAC requests
* Ensure contract work is managed in accordance with H&S policies/procedures and construction regulations
* Chair meetings and committees
* Prepare reports, estimates, specifications, and drawings
* Carry out risk assessments, audits, and fire safety evaluations
* Develop budgetary plans for infrastructure works, procurement, and material purchasing
Requirements
* A 3rd Level or Apprenticeship qualification in IT, Electrical/Mechanical trade, Engineering, Surveying, Facilities, or Chartered Surveyors
* At least 7 years of experience in mechanical/electrical/engineering management of large buildings
* Experience in managing operational budgets
* Management of multidisciplinary trades and technical teams
* Experience in implementing Planned Maintenance programs
* Experience working with building service systems, technologies (e.g., UPS units, AHUs, water treatment systems)
* Possession of a valid Safe Pass or equivalent
