Key locations such as Trinity College, Dublin Castle, The Convention Centre, Bord Gais Energy Theatre, 3 Arena and Grafton Street are all within walking distance The role: Accommodation Services Assistant Reporting to : Accommodation Manager MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To ensure the hotel standards are achieved at all timesin line with the departmental SOP manual Ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, appearance, body language and conduct of employees is maintained by all employees in department To ensure all guests receive a genuine, warm, friendly, courteous welcome on arrival and during their stay To assist in achieving goals in relation to mystery audits and all customer feedback platforms Resolve guests complaints in a professional manner, take corrective action where necessary To ensure all guest queries are handled promptly and efficiently Ensure the proper handling, maintenance, storage, and security of all department equipment Ensure the proper handling and storage of all lost property for the hotel Under the leadership of Accommodation Manager, ensure a high level of hygiene throughout the hotel at all times To ensure all guest bedrooms, public areas, corridors, stairwells and staff areas are cleaned to the highest possible standard To ensure the program of deep cleans are completed To be responsible for the cleanliness of any additional items that may be added to guest bedrooms or public areas at a future date To maintain all toilet facilities throughout the hotel including staff toilets and changing rooms in a clean and hygienic manner at all times To ensure that equipment is not abused and is used for its specific purpose only Service guest rooms as required.
To assist and train all new team members.
To control the amount of guest supplies used in your area To be fully aware of special promotions in the hotel To communicate the daily handover with outlining all relevant details To ensure all guests queries are handled promptly and efficiently.
To be familiar with safe keeping lost property procedures, GDPR and PCI policies of the hotel To constantly liaise with the Front Office department to ensure all guest requests are attended to To maintain trolleys, caddys, hoovers, linen room and your own working area tidy and in good shape.
To report defective materials and equipment to thesupervisor/manager To inform the maintenance requirements of the bedrooms, public areas and staff areas in liaison with thesupervisor/manager Recycle rubbish daily.
Maintain keys secured at all times Ensure that gents staff changing rooms are cleaned twice daily Guest supplies Do requisition, get stock from stores and deliver to the pantries Check chemical dispenser daily and refill when needed Deliver the linen to the pantries (ensure the adequate amount of linen in all pantries).
Any shortage inform supervisor/manager Organise all pantries daily (remove unnecessary items, tidy up, stock where necessary) Collect dirty linen from corridors Collect all rubbish from corridors regularly and recycle according to hotel standard and policies Make sure the staff area beside the service lift are always kept clean Staff corridors to be swept/mopped daily in both buildings All reject linen to be counted weekly Store all reject linen separate from soiled linen SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE Excellent attention to details.
Be a team player and have the ability to multi task.
Previous Experience not essential as full training will be provided.
