The purpose of the Access to Care Advisor (Ward Clerk) is to provide an administrative function to the ward area, supporting nursing and medical staff in the smooth day-to-day running of the ward area. Meet and greet visitors and patients. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Theatre Rota:Setting up Theatre Sessions for each Consultant for the year ahead onto the Theatre Rota Maintaining updates to the Theatre Rota received from Theare Manager, Consultants and Consultant Secretaries and other relevant stakeholders with regards extra lists, cancelled lists and also Consultant holidays Setting up of all Theatre Sessions on the Patient Management System Maintaining updates from the Theatre Rota to the Patient Management System Weekly Hospital On Call Rota Liaise with all relevant departments to obtain On Call Rota Information for the current week. Email to relevant departments Ensure updates and changes are made and re circulated by email to the relevant departments Liaise weekly with Anaesthetic Providers with regards Theatre Rota and furnishing copies of Theatre Lists for the following week. Weekly Ortho Implant Ordering. Theatre Staff Time Sheets to Payroll twice monthly. Management of the Time and Attendance System for the department. Monitoring and ordering of stationary for the theatre department. Admin duties for the department including telephone messages, photocopying, faxing, emailing, laminating, binding as required. Daily processing of charts for Local Anaesthetic patients from Day Surgery Unit Administration Quality Checks Posting of completed Discharge Summaries to GP’s Returning charts to Medical Records or Relevant Consultant Secretaries if required Personnel Follow uniform policy reference General Through the course of the working day or week there maybe a requirement to work in other areas of the hospital in line with patient requirements as requested by your line manager/deputy or nurse management. Staff must produce satisfactory documentary evidence of all training and experience claimed by them, if required to do so by the organisation. To respect the organisational values of the Hospital.
