Health & Safety Advisor
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and national regulations.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
* Lead investigations into any accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Liaise with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and implementation of safety measures.
* Monitor and report on health and safety performance, ensuring continuous improvement in safety practices.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest health and safety legislation and industry trends, and advise management on necessary changes.
Requirements:
* A degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 5 years experience in a health and safety role within the construction or civil engineering sector (preferably).
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations in Ireland.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
