Job Mission:
The role of Junior Brand Manager (JBM), Moët Hennessy, wines & spirits portfolio. The successful candidate will report into & work closely with the Moët Hennessy Brand Director (BD).
S/he will develop & execute the vision, objective & strategy of the brands on the Island of Ireland. They will manage all the brand activations in line with market brand positioning & the individual Maison’s guidelines.
The candidate will work in tandem with the Trade Marketing Controller and the Edward Dillon sales force to ensure opportunities are optimised & activations are implemented on time, within allocated budget & in line with the brand strategy.
The JBM will also be expected to manage several third-party agencies and service providers as well as ensuring strong communication with the Edward Dillon commercial team & project stakeholders.
One of the key relationships to be managed in this role is that of the shareholder Moët Hennessy. The shareholder will have relatively regular involvement in how their brands are managed in the marketplace and what activity is executed on their behalf. The JBM will support the BD in managing this relationship.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the BD to craft the annual & 3-Year Plan to meet the brand & sales targets in line with the Edward Dillon Co. Ltd. & Maison (global) strategy.
* Clearly communicate vision, goals and priorities to all stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
* Set annual objectives, KPI’s with the sales team (on, off trade & wholesale) for them to deliver across the channel mix.
Marketing Programmes & Brand Activations Development:
* Develop compelling brand marketing activations that surprise & delight consumers. These will be a mix of trade & consumer activations.
* Strengthen / defend the brand equity of Moët Hennessy spirits portfolio.
* Implementation excellence: Be the custodian of the brand DNA, consumer propositions, tone of voice & look and feel of each brand. Ensure all brand associated activities are executed on time & within agreed budget.
* Oversee POSM orders in line with brand requirement, management of usage & execution in trade.
* Support the sales team (key account managers, regional managers, BDE & BAT teams) with compelling customer proposals to win trade deals.
Brand Performance Management:
* Ensure that the performance of brands in marketplace is regularly monitored.
* Volume and Value share vs. the brands’ competitive set.
* Evaluate & report on performance of activations, working closely with the sales team to understand activation results.
* Manage brand A&P monthly ensuring effective and accurate budget management including administrations of all invoices.
* Fulfil all internal reporting requirements, including monthly report, project evaluations, business reviews & evolution brand plans.
Team collaboration:
* Establish & maintain an excellent, trustworthy relationship with key business stakeholders winning share of mind for the Moët Hennessy, wines & spirits portfolio.
* Inspire, motivate & manage excellent working relationships with all internal cross functional teams and external agencies to ensure excellence in delivery of agreed projects & follow up on reporting of performance and key learnings.
* A primary KPI of the role is to manage Hennessy's partnerships from relationship building, execution & identification of new partnerships.
* Work closely with the Moët Hennessy, spirits portfolio ambassador to ensure brands are executed in trade, in line with brand plans.
* Revert to queries from the shareholder in a timely fashion and to a high standard.
Expected Profile of the Successful Candidate:
* At least 3 - 5 years’ FMCG experience working in a trade or brand marketing function, with a track record in activation development & execution, strong commercial awareness & budget management.
* A growth mindset which sees & seizes opportunities & able to adapt to the ever-evolving marketing environment.
* Organised & structured, capable of dealing with several tasks & deadlines simultaneously.
* Passionate about brands, creative & drive to win.
* Management of below-the-line agencies, printers and other third-party suppliers.
* Whilst not vital, experience of both the spirits market and the Irish consumer is preferential.
* Have a relevant third level qualification.
