The Power Stations job family is focused on work activities related to the generation of electricity across a portfolio of station assets using various fuel types. The successful candidate will be a team player, flexible, and self-motivated with good problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and execution of outages on main Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant and Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant, and other major items of plant.
* Development of contingency plans associated with the above.
* Procurement of contracts, programs, projects, and commercial documentation associated with outages.
* Supporting the execution, progress, and reporting on all planned/unplanned outages and routine maintenance.
* Ensuring plans meet safety, environmental, technical, and commercial targets.
* Cordinating day-to-day maintenance planning activities.
* Managing site-specific projects with defined time or functional start and end criteria.
* Managing and developing site-based computerized maintenance management systems to suit business and plant needs.
* Developing and testing site Business Continuity Plans.
* Coordinating the preparation of monthly reports, business reviews, and associated follow-up actions.
* Developing procedures and plans in the above areas to support stations' ISO quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Experience in a power plant, marine, or similar process industry in a commercial environment is considered essential.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and lead projects, coordinate activities, chair meetings, and manage unplanned changes.
* Preparing reports to suit recipients at different levels of the organization and making presentations as required.
* Working experience in the use, development, and management of planning software and computerized maintenance management systems would be an advantage.
Qualifications
* A 3rd-level qualification in engineering or a related technical/science-based subject is desirable.
Location
This position is based in Aghada Generation Station, Whitegate, Co. Cork.
Reporting to
The successful candidate will report to the Technical Services Manager or equivalent.
