Responsibilities
* Manage and execute projects throughout the project life cycle from initiation to closeout.
* Manage project stage-gates from agreement of URS's, through design, procurement, implementation, commissioning and handover into production, while maintaining budgets and schedules agreed.
* Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes.
* Contractor/Vendor management, project schedule management and schedule development.
* Ensure all work is completed to relevant professional and statutory standards.
* Risk management and action plans to mitigate risk.
* Strict adherence to safe working practices as set out in the safety statement and other company safety rules.
* Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety Requirements onsite.
* Manage all phases of projects - Projects are predominantly heavy mechanical engineering projects.
* Develop project concepts and present to site management for discussion and evaluation.
* Work with equipment suppliers on detailed equipment layout design, considering current and future requirements.
* Prepare, issue, and evaluate tender packs for various work packages.
Requirements
* Degree certified in Mechanical Engineering.
* 3+ years' Project Engineering experience.
* AutoCAD experience.
* Proven ability to manage projects.
* Good attention to detail.
* Ambitious and able to work to your own initiative.
* Strong communicator with ability to engage at all levels.
* Keen learner and goal orientated, with desire to work proactively.
* Organisation from project teams to site leadership team.
* Execution/adherence – demonstrated record of on time delivery.
* Demonstrable record of delivering right first-time handover of documentation.
* Experience of working on projects under PSDP / PSCS conditions.
The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 per annum.
