The Role
Cafico International is at an exciting stage of its development and we are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Financial Services team in either our Ennis or Dublin office. As a Financial Accountant, you will become a key part of our client service finance team that offers a high standard of financial accounting, regulatory and statutory reporting services to a broad portfolio of business clients. You will have responsibility for delivery of accounting and compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this position are to manage the overall delivery of accounting and compliance services to a portfolio of clients, including:Manage on-boarding of clients and set-up of structures for delivery of tailored services in accordance with individual client requirementsPrepare monthly/quarterly management accountsPrepare statutory financial statementsPrepare consolidated financial statementsPrepare audit packs and support the external audit processPayroll processingPrepare VAT PAYE/PRSI and Corporation Tax returnsPrepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flowsManage the accounts payables and accounts receivables functions of client companiesMaintain contact with clients’ management teams to obtain the required information for reporting purposes, for meeting deadlines and for serving the client’s needsEnsure a prompt response to all client queries to ensure that the excellent service levels of Cafico International are maintainedAssist with the training of junior accountants
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA)Knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS. Knowledge of US GAAP would also be a distinct advantageMinimum 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent from a third level educational institutionExperience working in a finance department of a commercial enterprise would be a distinct advantageGood written and oral communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel (manipulation of large datasets)Ability to coordinate well with clients and other various service providersDisplay an ability to take responsibility and ownership of client matters from an early stage, with an ability to manage workflow and prioritise matters accordinglySelf-starter, detail-oriented, highly organised, motivated and has strong ability to self-solve problemsAbility to work in a dynamic team environment
