Job Title: Site Food Safety and Quality Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Food Safety and Quality Manager to lead our food safety and quality efforts at our global food ingredients company.
This individual will provide strategic leadership for food safety and quality across the site, managing a team of 4 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain food safety compliance and work with plant management to implement programs that mitigate risk. Ensure robust, effective, and compliant food safety HACCP programs align with global policies, regulatory agencies, and accreditation bodies.
* Manage all quality system elements, including quality reviews, management of change, documentation control, validation/qualification, quality agreements, deviations and investigations, sanitation, specifications, batch release, CAPA, audits, and customer complaints.
* Oversee site laboratories and ensure compliance with required accreditation bodies.
* Maintain and improve quality objectives and KPIs.
* Manage staffing within the quality function, including QC & QA.
* Manage the department budget and utilize resources effectively to meet business needs.
* Collaborate with site management and regional teams to lead a culture of continuous improvement across functions, including operations, engineering, and quality.
Requirements:
* Minimum of an Honors Science degree in Food, Chemistry, Microbiology, or equivalent related discipline.
* At least 5 years of quality management experience in a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
* Experience in validation (facility, equipment, utilities, process, and cleaning).
* Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving ability.
* Team focus with strong people management and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to influence and persuade, apply logical thinking, and a pragmatic approach.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
