Director of Finance and Procurement
Description:
The Director of Finance and Procurement at Beaumont Hospital is a key member of the Senior Management Team with responsibility for leading, developing, monitoring, governing, and evaluating the hospital's financial strategy. The portfolio extends to core finance functions in addition to procurement and materials management.
Main Responsibilities:
* Leading the development of a performance management and cost control ethos throughout the hospital.
* Negotiating with the HSE and other relevant bodies regarding funding and financial targets.
* Championing national projects and devising integrated business models to align the hospital with patient cost volume and complexity.
* Preparing and finalising annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
Key Relationships:
* Chief Executive Officer
* Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Senior Management Team
* Chair of Hospital Board
* Chairs of Audit/Finance Committees and other Board members as required
* Clinicians Directorate Management and Department Heads
* Clinical and Support Staff
Requirements:
* A minimum level 8 NFQ qualification in Finance or international equivalent
* Membership of a recognised accountancy body such as ACCA, CPA, ACMA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
* At least 10 years of Finance experience, including 5 years at senior leadership level in financial management and planning in a healthcare setting
Salary:
€122,506 - €149,728 per annum, appointment on the Assistant National Director salary scale at a point in line with Government pay policy.
