Reporting to the Head of Operations for Irish Retail, the District Manager will be responsible for leading a team to exceed the target of a multi-million pound turnover business across multiple sites in the West of Ireland.
You will inspire, motivate and train your people to be the best they can be and deliver the Paddy Power vision of being the most fun, fair and customer centric bookmaker on the planet.
What you’ll do
1. Leading change from the front across your district in a planned and customer centric way. By being visible and proactive in your approach whilst in your shops a minimum of three days a week, you’ll be conducting standards checks, supporting with product knowledge and ensuring the profitability of your shops through close management of P&Ls.
2. You will take responsibility for positively leading the implementation of change and the introduction of initiatives within the area.
3. Ensuring your teams are set up for success through your leadership, feeling motivated and energise to deliver the business goals. Your teams engagement is key and you will actively drive improved colleague engagement scores through planning and implementation of people plans.
4. Promote Safer Gambling within district, working with local representatives as required and ensure that the licenses within your District are protected.
How you’ll do it
5. We are looking for experience of change management and a people first leadership style. Leading through big changes, field management.
6. Experience in implementing new concepts in a retail estate, implementing great customer service in self-service environments, is desired but not essential.
7. You will be joining a supportive environment with a team of experts all with different skills, who are open to learning and sharing best practices with each other.
This is a field based role, with an expectation to work from shops across your district for a minimum of 3 days per week, with the option to work from home for the remaining days. Please also note you may be required to work from our Dublin office on occasion.
Working hours will fall across Mon - Sun including some evenings
