We are seeking a Data Protection Officer in Ireland to lead and develop our DPO office, providing oversight and expert advice for all elements of the business.
This is an independent function reporting to the General Counsel and covering the EEA as well as other jurisdictions requiring a DPO.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global privacy laws and regulations and excellent communication skills to advise decision-makers and foster a culture of data protection compliance across the business.
Who you are Fulfill role of DPO for GDPR and other global data protection laws.
Provide expert advice to business leaders and fellow Legal team members on a wide range of privacy matters, including data collection, use, sharing, security and data protection impact assessments.
Act as a contact point for data subjects, regulators and external authorities on data protection inquiries and requests.
Foster a data protection culture within the business and coordinate and oversee data privacy training programs to educate employees on compliance and best practices.
Monitor data protection practices across the businesses to ensure they align with relevant regulations, with practical and thoughtful recommendations.
Provide timely advice during data breaches or incidents, facilitating appropriate response and reporting.
Stay up to date and analyse emerging privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices, including GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy frameworks, to provide proactive advice on how they impact Indeed's business.
Who we are Optional: Qualified to practice law in Ireland 10+ years of experience in privacy law.
5+ years in a leadership role.
Deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws.
Proven analytical and communication skills.
Understanding of web-based technologies and how privacy laws apply to them.

Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location.
