Data Manager – Reference Data
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategicData Manager to lead a team of 12, focusing on improving our organization'sdata strategy. The ideal candidate will have solid experience withreference data within thefinancial domain and will play a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives in collaboration with the technical and reference data teams. This role will require effectivestakeholder management and the ability to work closely with senior leaders, including a senior project manager, to align the data strategy with broader business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and Manage a Team: Oversee a team of 12 professionals, fostering collaboration and development while managing day-to-day activities.
* Reference Data Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge ofreference data in a financial context to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
* Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to align on strategic objectives and drive data-related initiatives.
* Strategic Planning:Work closely with thetech team to develop and implement a long-term data strategy that enhances operational efficiency and decision-making.
* Collaboration: Partner with senior project manager to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business objectives.
* Improve Data Strategy: Continuously evaluate and improve the company's reference data processes to optimize performance, reduce risk, and support regulatory compliance
Key Qualifications:
* Proven experiencein reference data management, ideally withina financial servicesor similar domain.
* Strong backgroundin stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
* Experience working strategically with tech teams to design and implement data solutions.
* Demonstrated success managing and leading teams, with a focus on team development and operational improvement.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and driving initiatives to completion.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address data-related challenges at both strategic and operational levels.
