The Salthill Hotel is looking for a Breakfast Chef who will work closely with the Head chef and the kitchen team in ensuring a smooth running of the breakfast service on a a daily basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy kitchen and have a key eye for detail regarding presentations of buffets and plated dishes.

Summary of key activities To ensure cleanliness of the kitchen is in line with Food Hygiene Regulations and to ensure that food preparation and production are carried out to the highest standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
To report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.
To prepare and produce food for the area which you are assigned and to the agreed standards in conjunction with the other chefs.
To ensure the smooth running of the breakfast service on a daily basis.
To consistently monitor waste and recommend any counter waste measures available to breakfast service.
To consistently work and prepare food to the highest standards.
To be capable of developing excellent working relationships outside of the direct kitchen team.
To minimise wastage.
To follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations.
To carry out our Customer Relations Policy.
To ensure that the guests' needs and requirements are met.
To ensure a. high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
To ensure that all reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and other persons on the premises.
To carry out fire drills.
To report and where possible take action on incidents of accidents and damage.
To maintain a high level of personal hygiene (i.e.
change aprons/hats etc as required) throughout the duty shift.
To be aware and comply with company policy regarding: Fire, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, Customer Care & Security.
To read, understand and comply with your responsibilities as defined in the Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
To attend all training courses as notified to you by management.
Experience and skills Experience of 1- 2 years in a busy kitchen To have excellent timekeeping, and to be totally aware of the responsibility for opening the kitchen each morning.
To possess a keen eye for the presentation of buffets and plated dishes.
