We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Floor Manager to oversee our dining operations, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while collaborating closely with the kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, experience with online booking systems, and a passion for creating a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee all day to day front-of-house activities during opening and closing shifts, ensuring all procedures are followed for a smooth transition.
2. Prepare the restaurant for service by ensuring staff is briefed, tables are set, and the dining area is clean and welcoming.
3. Conduct final walkthroughs at the end of the shift to ensure cleanliness and proper closure of all operations.
4. Lead, motivate, and train floor staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to deliver exceptional guest service.
5. Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders, special requests, and food quality.
6. Assist in coordinating the flow of service between the kitchen and front-of-house to ensure timeliness in food delivery.
7. Engage with guests, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints to ensure a positive dining experience.
8. Monitor guest satisfaction and make necessary adjustments to improve service as needed.
9. Manage reservations and guest seating through our online booking system, ensuring an efficient flow of guests into the dining area.
10. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and compliant environment.
11. Train staff on safety protocols to minimize risks and enhance the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
Experience
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Floor Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
2. Proven experience with online booking systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) and reservation management.
Skills
1. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and staff effectively.
3. Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive demeanor.
