Licensing Officer (Fire & Safety Risk Assessment/Enforcement)
We are seeking a temporary Licensing Officer to assist our public sector client with an immediate need for this role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and enforcing licensing functions including the licensing of places of entertainment, cinemas, pavement cafés, street trading, road closure orders and dealing with high hedge complaints.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as you will liaise with service users, members of the public, government departments, Police, NI Fire & Rescue Service, architects, solicitors and other relevant bodies.
You will report and make recommendations regarding licence applications and enforcement of licence conditions to the Licensing and Regulatory Services Manager.
In addition, you will establish and support user groups to provide information, guidance and training to licensees.
Requirements:
* 2 'A' Levels or equivalent
* An approved certification in fire risk assessment
* 6 months experience in assessing Fire Risk Assessments or enforcing relevant legislation
* 6 months experience of maintaining accurate records and compiling reports
* Good current working knowledge of Word and Excel software packages
Desirable: Prior background of fire/civil servant enforcement officer experience.
