Job Description: Project Engineer (6 month contract)
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to support the development, execution, and oversight of capital and expense projects related to facility, utility, and equipment installations and upgrades. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and internal procedures. Working cross-functionally, the Project Engineer will contribute to process improvement, equipment qualification, and technical documentation while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Plan and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
2. Develop and execute user requirement specifications, design documents, and technical reports.
3. Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ).
4. Conduct risk assessments and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality.
5. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely project execution.
6. Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
7. Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating where necessary.
8. Ensure adherence to safety standards and contribute to a strong safety culture.
9. Provide regular updates on project progress and productivity metrics.
10. Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 3–5 years of relevant project engineering experience.
3. Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing or equipment is a strong advantage.
4. Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and qualification protocols.
5. Understanding of cGMP and regulatory compliance requirements.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software.
8. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
10. Willingness to travel for equipment assessments and FATs as required.
