As a core member of our Fund Accounting – Institutional Services team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.ResponsibilitiesYour Role: You will oversee and prepare financial reports and profit allocation statements, including net asset value, to meet client deadlines.Execute the financial control elements covering assets, liabilities, income and expenses, and equityIndependently complete cash, portfolio and capital reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepanciesReview and process notices received for capital calls and distributions on underlying portfolio Fund holdingsMonitor compliance with various client service agreementsMaintain contact with client operations staff, Banks, Custodians and BrokersWork with all team members to improve product quality and consistencyAssist with new client on-boarding and new launches to ensure successful completionTrain and support team members in their developmentOperate as a contact point for clients; being able to respond to and resolve queries or escalate where necessaryParticipate in the fiscal year end audit process and provide information to auditors as requiredLiaise with various internal/external partiesAssist with ad hoc projectsQualificationsAbout You:You have a University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or professional accounting designation (CFA, CGA, CMA, CA or CPA). Accounting/Finance background with relevant experienceExperience with hedge/mutual funds or investment companiesUnderstanding of investment strategies and financial products (including derivatives)Some successful supervisory/management experience would be an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work in a challenging, professional and fast paced work environmentOur BenefitsYour well-being is of paramount importance to us, and central to our success.
