Senior Financial Accountant
We are seeking a highly ambitious and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Technical Accounting and Advisory team. This team partners with senior stakeholders across the Group's functions and divisional offices to provide practical advice and solutions to complex accounting issues.

About the Role
* Perform accounting research and analysis of new transactions, business initiatives, and new accounting pronouncements, documenting the appropriate accounting treatment.
* Assist in the accounting and reporting of technical areas such as goodwill and intangibles, derivatives, pensions, share-based compensation, financing transactions, acquisitions, and divestitures.
* Coordinate the annual audit and quarterly review activities performed by external auditors for SEC and statutory filings.
* Maintain, document, and improve the company's US GAAP compliant accounting policies and procedures at global and divisional levels.
* Manage and monitor global statutory financial statement filings under multiple accounting standards.
* Review existing areas of critical accounting policies to ensure alignment among all divisions and deliver trainings as necessary.
* Present accounting and US GAAP transition matters to various teams across the Group, Divisional, and operating companies.
* Assist with ad hoc requests and special projects, including acquisition due diligence activities and integration of newly acquired businesses into US GAAP.
Key Skills, Experience & Requirements
* Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
* Strong background and understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles, including preparation of financial statements. Technical accounting and advisory experience preferred.
* Position suitable for new qualified accountants or those with up to 2 years PQE with experience in accounting advisory or strong technical accounting skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work well with all levels of leadership and departments within the company.
* Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and produce high-quality work.
* Experience with HFM and web-based financial reporting applications is an advantage.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications.
* Able to work with integrity and confidentiality on projects.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
* Ability to travel up to 20% Europe and internationally as required.
