We are currently looking to recruit a Finance & Planning Intern to join our team in Oola, Co Limerick starting in March 2025.
How can you make a difference?
Working as part of the UK & Ireland regional service team, the finance and planning intern is responsible for assisting with an accurate overview and forecast of the UK/IE regional finances within the service department, creating ongoing transparency of the current financial status and regional risks and opportunities.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. Supporting the service team to deliver annual financial targets, using clear financial tools & analysis.
2. Assisting with “look ahead reviews” to identify financial risks.
3. Assisting with the forecasting process to gain visibility by wind farm and understand key financial levers.
4. Supporting with the preparation of the annual budget process for the service team.
5. Collating monthly financial data for review, working closely with the finance team to suggest improvements.
6. Ensuring all costs are forecast, provisioned, and reconciled while working closely with the finance team to meet audit requirements.
7. Creating target-oriented regular financial reports and processes.
8. Monitoring, regularly updating, and reporting of the financial forecasts for the regional service department.
9. Monitoring revenues and costs for the regional service department.
10. Monitoring open purchase order status and process and CAPEX processes.
11. Developing and implementing a job cost estimator tool/process.
What are we looking for?
This position is an internship from March 2025 to the end of summer 2025. The successful candidate will be undertaking a degree-level qualification in Business, Finance, or a related subject with some job-related experience.
You will have excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude with an appetite to learn and develop. You will possess excellent IT skills, with strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
