Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering team. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of management experience, preferably in the SaaS industry, and excels in leading people, mentoring managers, and driving technical excellence. This role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership and operational execution to deliver innovative solutions and meet business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, including managers and senior engineers, to achieve their full potential.Strategic Vision: Define and drive the engineering roadmap, aligning with the company’s business goals and product strategy.Operational Excellence: Implement and refine processes to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality, scalable software.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution.Talent Development: Build and maintain a high-performance engineering culture by recruiting, retaining, and nurturing top talent.Technology Oversight: Ensure technical decisions align with long-term business needs while maintaining innovation and efficiency.Required Skills & Qualifications:10+ years of experience managing engineering teams, with at least 5 years leading managers.Proven success in a SaaS environment, delivering scalable and reliable software solutions.Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on people development, coaching, and mentorship.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and modern engineering practices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to inspire and align diverse teams.Experience driving initiatives to improve engineering processes, performance, and quality.Preferred Qualifications:Background in scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments.Experience with cloud-based architectures, DevOps practices, and modern tech stacks.Familiarity with OKRs or similar frameworks for goal setting and performance tracking.
