**Job Summary**
The Theatre Hospital Porter is a key role within the Bon Secours Health System, supporting the operating department in patient transfer and positioning, equipment preparation and maintenance, and stock management.
We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual to join our team, with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in general maintenance or portering, and be able to work across all areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the operating department in the safe transfer of patients to/from theatres
* Prepare, maintain and clean equipment within the department
* Order consumable stores items and put them away using the F.I.F.O. system
* Assist with quarterly stocktaking
* Perform general handyman duties as required
Requirements:
* Leaving Cert qualification (minimum)
* Previous general maintenance/portering experience (desirable)
* Full, clean driver's licence
* Excellent timekeeping, reliability and punctuality
