Responsibilities
* Responsible for new production introduction process (NPI) – including project planning, development and introduction of new products within the agreed development budget & scheduled introduction dates.
* Lead on internal manufacturing processes/projects using PM methodologies (e.g LEAN).
* Lead and support digitalisation installation or roll out projects.
* Monitoring the progress of projects against agreed plans and managing activities to deliver against agreed goals.
* Perform quotations for new products.
* Delivering processes into the manufacturing environment through effective selection of suitable technology and methods focused on Quality, Cost and Delivery.
* Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
* Identify and roll out manufacturing improvements for existing products.
* Engage and liaise with customers at various levels to bring products through the design phase to the manufacturing state with ISO13485 standards.
* Support the wider team with new customer introductions and existing customer relationship management.
* Assist with production planning and scheduling.
* Responsible for managing process development of existing and new products.
* Assist in quotation of new products.
* Install and maintain Bill of Materials on the system.
* Add drawings and specifications on Autocad.
* Train and re-train operators on existing and new equipment.
* Generate operator instructions for existing and new equipment.
* Support and lead on routine checks to maintain machines/equipment in correct working order and report any malfunctions or deviations.
* Lead and support line and production layout to optimise process flow and ergonomics.
* Engage with subcontract and 3rd party manufacturers.
* Contribute to a safe working environment and ensure that PPE and EH&S practices are maintained at all times.
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of Electronic, Production and Manufacturing Engineering.
* Proficient in LEAN and Six Sigma Tools.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Hard working and excellent attitude.
* Adaptable and flexible to work on multiple products and engage with multiple customers.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent MS and ERP experience.
* Understanding of complex information and requirements.
* Good prioritization skills and flexibility to adapt plans.
