Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer-Based Project Manager with a strong background in construction to oversee and manage customer-focused projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in construction project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. This role requires a customer-focused individual who can bring more clients and customers to our business, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
o Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
o Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment with customer requirements.
o Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with construction standards.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their needs, concerns, and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
o Provide regular updates to customers on project status, milestones, and any potential issues.
o Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality results and resolving any disputes or challenges promptly.
3. Budget and Cost Management:
o Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
o Track expenses, approve invoices, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors to optimize costs.
4. Risk Management:
o Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
o Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
5. Team Leadership:
o Lead and motivate project teams, including site managers, contractors, and support staff.
o Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
6. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and customer specifications.
o Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
* PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is a plus.
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.
* Proven experience managing customer-focused projects, preferably in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
Skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and contracts.
* Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
