Job Title: SHEQ Advisor

About the Role
As a SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality of construction projects.
You will regularly review, update, and communicate all relevant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
This includes carrying out safety audits, inspections, and investigations, as well as producing reports and implementing recommended improvements for accidents and near-misses.
You will also oversee the preparation and periodic review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, record and investigate incidents, and ensure site inductions are delivered to all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Review, update, and communicate Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
* Carry out safety audits, inspections, and investigations; produce reports and ensure ongoing compliance
* Oversee the preparation and periodic review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Record, investigate, and implement recommended improvements for all accidents and near-misses
* Ensure site inductions are delivered to all employees, contractors, and visitors
* Organise and coordinate SHEQ-related training for employees
* Manage and update all relevant administrative tasks within the SHEQ Department
* Support the development of documentation required for the SHEQ Management System to align with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards
Requirements
* 2+ years' experience within a similar H&S role - Civil Engineering/Construction
* Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc)
* Experience with ISO standards and auditing (ISO )
* Experience with report writing, organisation or planning
* Good communication skills
* IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
* Full clean driving license - travel to site required
Desirable Qualifications
* Environmental or Quality certifications
* Knowledge of Windfarm or Rail works
* NEBOSH Diploma
