Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitiousStaff Grade Medical Scientist to join amulti-disciplinary laboratory team within a JCI accredited hospital in Cork.
The successful candidate will be trained across several key disciplines including Biochemistry, Blood Transfusion, Microbiology, and Haematology.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care through a wide range of diagnostic services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory testing and supporting the advancement of medical science.
What you'll need to succeed:
Proven experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, ideally in an Irish hospital environment.
Hold full registration with CORU.
Demonstrated experience in Biochemistry, Blood Transfusion, Microbiology, and Haematology.
Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
Proficient with ISO15189 compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biomedical Sciences from an approved University.
Possess the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street or the Regional Technical College, Cork awarded prior to 1994 Hold full registration with CORU.
Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine Previous experience in Haematology, Biochemistry, Blood transfusion or Microbiology in a clinical laboratory laboratory setting in Ireland/UK.
Experience of ISO15189 compliance.
