About the Role
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to take on a role that directly impacts how businesses protect their systems and data? We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join a leading IT solutions provider, working at the intersection of business and technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape security strategies, provide expert guidance, and contribute to the resilience of critical IT environments.
In this role, you will start by focusing on secure system design and risk assessment for the first 6-12 months, before transitioning into a broader security function within the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on ISO27001, providing guidance on audits, gap analysis, and implementation.
2. Deliver security consultancy services to a diverse client base, advising on risk assessments, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, PCI DSS).
3. Conduct security assessments of systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify risks and recommend remediation strategies.
4. Configure and test security tooling, ensuring alignment with best practices.
5. Provide security awareness training and lead incident response tabletop exercises.
6. Assist the Sales Team in scoping client needs and identifying opportunities for further security improvements.
7. Contribute to the development and enhancement of security policies, documentation, and frameworks.
What We're Looking For
1. Proven experience in ISO27001 consulting, including gap analysis, audits, and implementation projects.
2. Strong knowledge of information security frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, CIS).
3. Ability to assess, configure, and test security tools and solutions.
4. Experience in delivering security advisory services.
5. Excellent communication skills for client interactions, training sessions, and security reporting.
6. A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
