ABOUT THIS ROLE: Provide leadership and direction for all business operations to achieve continuously improving results in the areas of quality, cost, service, and safety.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure workplace culture, structures and resources support achievement of Company Business Plans and customer service commitments.
Job Objectives: Establish an environment that adheres to safe work practices by driving safety improvements, best practice through regular safety meetings, safety walks and leading by example as well ensuring compliance with relevant legislation for the site.
Oversee Plant Operations: Provide the necessary resources, procedures, training, and controls to ensure adherence to Company Standards and third-party food safety and quality standards in terms of GMP; chemical control; sanitation control; HACCP; allergen control; non-conforming products; product trace/recall; customer/consumer response.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the Site HACCP Team. Manage and overview all quality control and quality assurance function from end-to-end process Ensure manufacturing and products are adhering to up to date legislative & regulatory requirements Maintain Quality Management Systems and HACCP system adhering to Company manufacturing standards, Food safety & Quality system standards Maintain site VACCP and TACCP systems Review and report KPIs to management on weekly/monthly basis, analyse trends, investigate any KPI failure and develop & implement corrective actions Investigation of non-conformance, deviation, customer complaints and ensure the corrective/ preventive action effectively in place Active participate in preparation and organising site for all audits ensuring resolution of previous actions through cross-function teams including participate in other site system implementation Manufacturing Performance: Responsibility for day-to-day plant operations and achievement of Business Plan Objectives. Directly supervise and support the manufacturing team will involve being hands on and close to the detail. Responsible for engineering ensure optimal equipment performance. Own PM and engineering stocking requirements. Own the manufacturing budget; examine variances and exercise financial control to ensure manufacturing activities operate at minimum cost. Oversee operational systems to ensure cost effective production within quality specifications. Oversee production schedules, ensuring operations are at maximum efficiency within budgeted costs and meeting quality and delivery objectives. Review developments in manufacturing operations and make recommendations relating to systems and capital expenditure planning. Supply Chain: Demand planning and material call-off ownership to ensure customer service levels are met and, limiting the risk of stock write offs due to obsolescence. Implement controls and procedures to ensure strict adherence to plan (ATP). Oversee the management of the Warehousing and Inventory Control Processes for the Manufacturing Site. Own 3rd Party (3 PL) Warehousing Management and Distribution/Logistics. Ensure all activities involved in the receipt and storage of raw materials and the storage and freighting of finished goods is cost efficient and effective in meeting customers needs.
