Job Description
OHC is recruiting a Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract for a client program where OHC is operating as the Implementation partner. Daily rate or full employment is offered. OHC is not offering sponsorship for this role. The candidate will be required to undertake all Support management & coordination of the existing ERP system including release management while coordinating with the ongoing phased project rollout. The role will exist within a project PMO structure and is the first stage of transition from project to BAU application support and release management. The candidate will belong to the project PMO team and will report to the Project Director. Although focused on delivered systems, release management will extend to coordinating project tech stack releases with SW vendor as well.
Responsibilities
* Manage all support operations logged by business in coordination with project delivery team and SW Vendor.
* Work with a third-party SW vendor in relation to defects & fixes for support tickets.
* Work within the PMO to prioritise support within the wider project delivery schedule.
* Develop and document the support model and strategy including SLAs, escalations, resolution, and reporting metrics.
* Build the support team as required interfacing with Business users, Project team & SMEs.
* Communicate with the business, project, and IT team for all support matters.
* Deliver training as required to new team members and wider support functions.
* Coordinate prioritisation, scheduling of releases.
* Plan, track and maintain the release schedules and cycles for each environment.
* Own and continuously improve the release process.
* Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
* Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
* Be a Single point of contact for all release activity.
* Maintain the release repository containing release procedures, and release notes.
* Maintain and communicate release documentation to all stakeholders.
* Define requirements for release related testing, in coordination with the test team.
* Escalate and progress any bugs with SW Vendor.
* Ensure release testing until the release is ready to be deployed.
* Maintain a lessons learned log for all release issues.
* Coordinate post release/deploy activities after application upgrades/releases.
* Communicate implication of release process to Project Teams and Business where relevant.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Has a master’s or bachelor’s degree, in computer science, information systems or similar.
* Previous project management expertise on ERP rollouts and/or ongoing Application support teams.
* Experience managing teams and multiple priorities and deliverables.
* Technically proficient with full lifecycle experience of Development, Test, Production, Configuration, and Software Deployment.
* Ability to collaborate and communicate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot technical issues.
* Ability to understand and translate technical terminology and process into accessible and usable language for business and project users.
* Managed at least 1 but preferably 5-10 software releases in MS Dynamics or other comparable software products.
* Proactive, self-motivated and disciplined with an ability to take responsibility for objectives assigned and operate at a lead level for activities assigned.
* Ask questions if unsure of what is expected or objectives required to ensure high levels of delivery and productivity.
* Strong project management and coordination skills and ability to manage multiple projects with multiple priorities.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve challenging, time sensitive issues in production and project environments.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with an ability to articulate outcomes and processes clearly and succinctly.
* Provide a focus for quality assurance ensuring each release meets quality standards.
* Coordinate risk management to the release and change processes.
* Ensure system integrity through releases to ensure business confidence.
* Coordinate the change management process to ensure change is managed in a timely and efficient manner.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid working arrangement with at least 3 days per week on site in Drogheda (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are core days). 2 days can be worked remotely from home.
