Job Title: Environmental Impact Assessment Lead
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for large-scale Renewable Energy projects. Key responsibilities include delivering the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Appropriate Assessment/Natura Impact Statement (AA/NIS), as well as providing environmental expertise to support the Planning Team and inform business strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the EIA process, Irish planning policy/legislation, and experience in renewables or related infrastructure projects. A Hons Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required, with a Postgraduate qualification being a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the EIA process for large-scale Renewable Energy projects
* Deliver the EIAR and AA/NIS
* Provide environmental expertise to support the Planning Team
* Stay updated on changes in planning/environmental legislation, policies, and development plans
* Contribute to company submissions as needed
* Assist the Stakeholder and Advocacy team in developing communication and consultation plans
* Prepare specifications for third-party services and assist in procurement processes
* Mentor and assist junior staff
* Participate in performance management to achieve team objectives
Requirements:
* Hons Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
* 5+ years' experience leading EIAR and AA/NIS preparation for large-scale projects
* Strong understanding of the EIA process and Irish planning policy/legislation
* Experience in renewables or related infrastructure projects desirable
Estimated Salary Range: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum
