Job Title: Homecare Manager
The Homecare Manager will be accountable for planning and implementing initial homecare assessments and care plans with both prospect and existing Homecare Clients.
This role involves working closely with both clients and a team of 30 Healthcare Assistants, who provide essential care services to our clients. You will spend approximately 30% of your working week in the office and the rest of the time traveling throughout Limerick City to fulfill your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of both client and healthcare assistant teams.
* Ensure the overall wellbeing of Healthcare Assistants, supported by the Human Resources department.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with both Healthcare Assistants and Client Coordinators.
* Stay up-to-date with HSE and HIQA governance guidelines and implement best practices.
* Provide clinical governance data to support quality assurance approaches.
* Create and update care plans for clients as needed.
* Conduct competency skills assessments with all Healthcare Assistants and adapt a direct approach to communicating with clients.
* Establish professional relationships with primary care teams.
* Arrange meetings to support Healthcare Assistants and track actions and outcomes.
* Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
* Support staff through effective communication, employee appraisal processes, and identifying and developing talent.
* Ensure regular team meetings are held, supported by the Human Resources department.
Essential Requirements:
* Be a registered Nurse with an active pin.
* Have strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate attention to detail.
* Be proficient in basic IT systems.
* Have experience in team management.
* Have experience in developing and delivering care needs.
* Community Homecare experience is desirable.
