SOCIAL CARE LEADER
COROFIN LODGE (Accommodation Facility)
Part-Time Permanent Panel
The Corofin Lodge provides on-site overnight accommodation to adults with acquired brain injury attending the Rehabilitative Training Unit (RTU) at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH). We are seeking a motivated person to join our multi-disciplinary team to manage the overnight accommodation facility in a job share position.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the operational delivery of an effective, person-centred service to the service users accommodated in the Corofin Lodge. They will be involved in the development of the accommodation service in line with NRH and RTU standards of service delivery and in meeting required national and international standards of care. The post holder will provide support and oversight of the RTU Trainees, participate in the group life of the Trainees, and promote a positive and pleasant living environment.
Minimum Requirements
* A third-level qualification in Social Care Work as approved by CORU, such as BA Social Care or BA Applied Social Care.
* Eligible for and have applied for registration with CORU.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a rehabilitation, health care, or hospital setting supporting adults with life skills training.
* A demonstrated track record of continuing professional development.
* The requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, communication skills, and people management) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
* High capacity for responsibility, creativity, and initiative.
