We are inviting candidates for a Process Engineering role to join our expanding Engineering excellence team at the Ballineen, West Cork facility.Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated, hands on and detail-oriented Process Safety Engineer to join our engineering team at Ballineen, West Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of our industrial processes, with a focus on management of change, process safety and SEVESO compliance. This role involves conducting risk assessments, participating and initiating HAZOPs, compliance reporting, developing safety protocols and collaborating with site functions to enhance operational safety.Key Responsibilities Leading teams to conduct process hazard analyses and risk assessments.Develop and implement safety systems, technical support and procedures to ISO standardsIdentify, implement and establish technology tools for the management of process risk and legal compliance with statutory safety regulations including SEVESO Directive requirements.Design, maintain, and review safety-critical systems and equipment.Develop, manage and coordinate all asset care requirements leading to full compliance across areas of process safety.Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Collaborate with engineering, occupational health and safety, operations, and management teams to integrate safety measures into all operations.Provide technical safety support and guidance acrossAnalyse incident reports and system failures to identify areas for improvement.Stay updated with changes in safety regulations and ensure organizational compliance.Participate in the design and review of new equipment, materials, and processes to ensure they meet safety standards.Developing and partnering with functions in execution of the H&S training programReporting to management on safety performanceCore Competencies The ideal candidate shall possess the leadership skills and technical knowledge to compete the role to a high level of accomplishment.
