A market-leading mechanical contractor that works on award-winning projects across Ireland. Due to increased growth in the west of Ireland, they are now seeking to recruit 2 x Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Site Managers with HVAC/Piping experience. You will report to the mechanical project manager and will work with a multi-functional team in delivering projects to quality, on time and on budget. The successful candidates will work on a large multi-million project in either the Galway or Mayo regions.
Duties:
1. Coordinating and planning of resources including labour, materials and subcontractors
2. Manage piping and welding subcontractors (process and high purity)
3. General knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, building services, utilities & process piping systems
4. Interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
5. Manage and drive a team to meet all project requirements and deadlines
6. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
7. Report variations and delays to the Project Manager
8. Prepare relevant reports
9. Ensure the quality of work is maintained throughout installation
10. Ensure Health & Safety compliance by direct staff and subcontractors
11. Regular reviews of working practices to help improve site safety
Requirements:
1. A Mechanical Degree or Trade qualification is essential. Experience as a chargehand, supervisor or manager will be needed.
2. 5+ years’ experience with an Irish or UK contractor in a Mechanical Supervisor role. Experience as a chargehand will also be considered.
3. Experience in Process Piping systems on Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices / Industrial / Data Centre or similar projects is preferable.
4. Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficient in MS Office and Navisworks.
6. Ability to work to strict deadlines.
