A fantastic opportunity to join the team at Diamond Coast Hotel as Pastry Chef de Partie. This role reports directly into the Executive Chef.

The Coral Restaurant at the Diamond Coast Hotel offers a warm welcome, excellent cuisine, great wines, relaxing surroundings, and friendly hotel staff to attend to your every need. Additional facilities include a crystal adorned banqueting suite perfect for your wedding day, seating up to 400 guests, meeting rooms, and Stir Bistro.
Main Duties
1. To work with the Management Team to ensure the smooth running of the pastry section on a day-to-day basis.
2. Ensure the efficient running of your area whilst on duty and making provision for preparation while off duty.
3. Demonstrates a hands-on approach to all bakery products produced in the Pastry Department, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency standards meet company standards.
4. Assist with the development of standardised recipes for all menu items. Ensure recipes are accurate and updated as needed.
5. Ensure proper levels of bakery and pastry items are prepared based on forecasted needs.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
2. A qualification in a catering discipline is desirable.
3. Ability to multitask and work well in an environment with time constraints.
4. Excellent work ethic with drive and the ambition to succeed.
5. Flexibility and a proactive approach is a must in this role.
6. Excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and motivated.
