The School of Civil Engineering is a dynamic, research-driven school with a clear focus on delivering excellent research and education. The School currently comprises 28 faculty, 18 research staff, four technical staff, two administrative staff and hosts over 50 postgraduate researchers. Our colleagues are world-leading researchers in critical infrastructure and water resources. We deliver a range of undergraduate and taught graduate programmes and we are also home to two Academic Centres, the UCD Dooge Centre for Water Resources Research (CWRR) and the Centre for Critical Infrastructure Research (CCIR). Position Overview
The School of Civil Engineering now seeks to appoint a Full Professor of Civil Engineering to further strengthen our expertise. The successful candidate will have a recognised track record of internationally competitive research achievement, prestigious funding awards, an exceptional publication record with demonstrated impact, and will have significant expertise in one or more of the following areas: climate change, sustainable construction, renewable energy and digital transformation & analytics. This individual will provide strong academic and research leadership to the School and contribute significantly to its strategic development.
