DescriptionThe HR function is focused on the delivery of high-quality related People, HR Management, Employee Development, Talent, Culture and HR service programmes and initiatives that better enables the organization to achieve its goals/strategic plans.
Reporting to the Head of HR, this role provides comprehensive and professional HR services and support to client teams across Dublin Airport. To enable this the HRBP partners work closely and collaboratively with People Managers supporting and coaching them to build a work environment that both attracts the best people and recognises people and their performance.
HRBPs are recognised as a credible and trusted “People Expert” for all People Managers and provides support across all areas of the business and at every level, across the various teams. Critical to the success of this role is the ability of the HRBP to understand how their business unit operates, the challenges associated and pro-actively plan and organise work and people matters in an effective manner.
Senior HRBPs typically manage other HR resources and are expected to coach, develop, manage and build teams, fit for purpose, to a high standard while developing future talent for the wider daa People function.
HRBPs are visibly present across the operational environment, ensuring that overall HR provides a tangible, value-add support to management teams and employees.
This role is based at Dublin Airport and the role holder will be expected to be on-site a minimum of 4 days per week.Responsibilities
Champion a positive and supportive culture, enhancing the daa brand as an employer through employee experience.
Proactively support, coach and guide People Managers in the implementation of HR policies, processes, ways of working, governance requirements and cultural expectations.
Support all resourcing plans taking a direct role in the recruitment of roles as appropriate/required.
Provide front line advice to People Managers on ER issues tapping into specialist support from other members of central HR team and services.
Actively participate in change initiatives developed by HR central functions directly or in partnership to ensure delivery and successful execution of all plans.
Develop a deep knowledge of the business/customers and key issues for the operation to assist the delivery of effective people solutions both in the short and long term.
Ensure the business is operating within agreed Reward frameworks and processes.
Actively support and feed into the organisation’s talent development plans and initiatives to ensure a strong pipeline of future talent and leaders.
Work with People Managers and central HR teams to develop and implement controls and initiatives to improve attendance management, performance management and employee welfare.
Produce and analyse reports, statistics, and updates for the Head of HR as required.
Lead and develop the existing HR Team providing robust HR guidance, coaching and support where needed.
Conduct regular reviews and performance conversations with direct reports so that the team is performing and productive.
QualificationsExperience
7 - 10 + years’ experience working as a HRBP, HR Manager or Senior HR generalist, preferably in frontline/operations focused fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in leading grievance and disciplinary investigation hearings.
Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
Comfortable and experienced working in a unionised environment and managing general ER issues.

Previous experience delivering a proactive and commercial HR service in a fast paced, progressive HR environment

Strong working knowledge of employment law and best practices.

Education & Qualifications
Third level degree in HR or other related discipline (CIPD).
