Applications are invited for the Research Data Steward full-time 1 FTE post at the University of Galway Library. This post is offered as a specific purpose contract until 30 September 2026. The primary purpose of the Research Data Steward role is to provide essential support and advice for research data management and data governance across the research cycle.
The post-holder will offer support and training to researchers in curating, depositing, and managing data according to the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles. The role includes collaborating with researchers, internal units, and library colleagues to document and provide support for existing international best practice approaches for research data management.
Salary: €52,459 to €67,755 pro rata p.a. Applicable to new entrants effective from January 2011 and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the University's Remuneration policy.
