We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Basic Grade Occupational Therapist to join our team in CH07 Mid Kildare.
Job Description:
To work as a member of the inter/trans-disciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of an occupational therapy service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities.
Services are provided to children aged 0 - 18 years with physical, sensory, learning disabilities, developmental delay and autism.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide occupational therapy services to children with disabilities
* Assess and diagnose children's needs
* Develop and implement individualised plans for each child
* Work with other professionals to provide comprehensive support to children and families
Requirements:
* Be registered on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
* Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued
* Be eligible to work in the state
* Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transfer in order to delivery services across a large geographical area
Desirable Criteria:
* Postgraduate experience of working with children and families in a community based setting
* Post graduate experience working in disability services for a minimum of 6 months
