Job Title: Supervising Pharmacist
Location: Co. Wexford
The Supervising Pharmacist plays a vital role in ensuring the pharmacy operates within legislative, contractual, professional, and ethical frameworks. They provide expert advice to patients, staff, and other health professionals on health and medicines.
* Oversees the dispensing process, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency.
* SUPERVISES AND DIRECTS PHARMACY STAFF TO ENSURE OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE.
* Maintains pharmacy stock levels, minimizing waste and ensuring timely replenishment.
* Ensures accurate data checking aligns with store operations.
* Provides expert guidance to patients on safe and appropriate medicine use.
* Offers support and expertise to staff on safe medication usage, particularly for over-the-counter and pharmacy-only medications.
* Evaluates patient symptoms, recommending treatment options.
* Fosters effective relationships with patients, customers, and suppliers.
* Communicates effectively with diverse individuals, including patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
* Verifies all pharmacy claims are accurate and submitted within the required timeframe.
Requirements:
* Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (no conditions attached).
* A minimum of three years post-registration experience, preferably in an Irish retail pharmacy.
* Prior experience as a Supervising Pharmacist is preferred but not essential.
* Extensive experience in community pharmacy operation.
* Demonstrated ability to perform effectively as a pharmacist.
* Strong interpersonal skills, forming effective relationships with stakeholders and customers.
* Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Commitment to providing quality services.
* Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Honesty, integrity, and understanding of confidentiality's significance.
* EU residency or valid employment permit.
Estimated Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum based on location and industry standards.
