We are presently recruiting a Construction Finishing Foreman to oversee and manage the finishing phase of construction projects in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This is a full time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for ensuring that all finishing work is completed to the highest standards and within the specified timelines.
2. Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
3. Overseeing project schedules: Ensure that all finishing work is completed on time and within budget.
4. Supervising construction workers and subcontractors: Provide guidance and direction to ensure tasks are performed correctly and promptly.
5. Reporting on project progress: Keep senior managers and stakeholders informed about the status of the finishing work.
6. Maintaining quality control checks: Perform regular inspections to ensure the highest quality of work.
7. Coordinating teams: Organize and manage the movement of on-site labour, materials, and machinery.
8. Day-to-day problem solving: Address any issues that arise during the finishing phase to prevent project delays.
9. Signing off and handing completed work over to the client: Ensure that all work is finished to the agreed standards and specifications.
The person:
1. Background in large scale mixed residential or commercial construction with a proven track record of successfully leading project teams.
2. Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards.
3. Methodical, excellent attention to detail and accurate with an ability to co-ordinate a number of different priorities at the same time.
