We believe in empowering our employees to reach their full potential, and we are seeking a passionate and results-driven Senior Manager of Learning and Development (L&D) to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and executing our learning strategy to support organizational goals and enhance employee performance. The Senior Manager of Learning and Development will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and measurement of company-wide learning initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and leadership development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing L&D programs that drive business results, enhance employee engagement, and align with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learning Strategy and Program Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and workforce needs. Lead the design and delivery of programs in areas such as leadership development, skills enhancement, onboarding, and career progression.
2. Leadership and Team Management: In the future, manage and mentor a team of L&D professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, continuous learning, and professional growth.
3. Needs Analysis and Customization: Conduct regular training needs assessments and collaborate with department heads to identify skills gaps and prioritize learning initiatives. Customize programs and content to meet the diverse needs of various teams and departments.
4. Program Evaluation and Improvement: Utilize data and feedback to assess the effectiveness of learning programs. Continuously refine and improve learning content and delivery methods to ensure maximum impact and alignment with business goals.
5. Talent Development and Succession Planning: Support the company’s talent management strategy by identifying high-potential employees and developing tailored programs that foster leadership and career development.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure learning initiatives support organizational priorities. Regularly update stakeholders on program effectiveness, trends, and industry best practices.
7. Budget Management: Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing return on investment for learning programs and initiatives.
8. Technology and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends in learning technologies, including e-learning platforms, virtual classrooms, and learning management systems (LMS). Advocate for and implement innovative solutions to enhance the learning experience.
9. Compliance and Regulatory Training: Ensure that required compliance training is up-to-date and effectively delivered across the organization, aligning with industry standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Learning and Development, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role. Experience in a corporate environment is preferred, with a proven ability to manage large-scale learning programs across multiple business units.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
6. Strategic thinker with the ability to align L&D initiatives with business goals.
7. Analytical mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
8. Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
