About the Role
The Health & Safety Officer will manage Environmental, Health & Safety activities at five office locations in Ireland and UK that accommodate over 900 employees.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS legislation and codes of practice.
o Regularly review and update EHS policies, engaging all employees.
o Develop innovative EHS practices and programs, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
o Conduct risk assessments and safety audits as part of the annual audit plan.
o Oversee emergency response planning and ensure all offices and staff are prepared for potential incidents.
o Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing timely corrective actions.
o Key member of the EHS Committee.
o Develop EHS training and awareness programmes and ensure they are rolled out to all staff.
o Liaise with relevant legal authorities.
o Manage contractors and suppliers working at Davy offices.
o Collaborate with the HR department to support employee wellness programmes.
o Develop and report on EHS metrics.
o Provide EHS input to construction and procurement project management teams.
o Collaborate with the FM team and outsourced partners on all EHS matters.
About You
* At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
* A degree in Health & Safety, Engineering or a related field, and membership in a recognised health and safety professional body.
* Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO50001 management systems.
* A deep understanding of H&S legislation and confidence in managing all aspects of H&S.
* Advanced people skills, effectively engaging and influencing employees at all levels.
* Knowledge of construction safety management practices.
