Carlton Hotel is a luxury 4-star Hotel with a broad clientele base including business clients and Park-Sleep-Fly travellers. We are conveniently located next to the Airport and just five minutes from the M1 and M50.
We are recruiting for a Kitchen Porter:
Kitchen Porters play an integral role in the safe and efficient operation of any busy kitchen. You will be interested in working as part of a Team and you may have an interest in exploring/commencing a career as a chef.

Successful applicants must:
* Ideally, have some previous experience in a busy kitchen/4* hotel kitchen
* Have a calm, efficient, professional, and organised approach to your work
* Have strong communication skills, and have a basic level of English as a minimum
* Have previous experience, knowledge and understanding of HACCP
* Be a committed Team player
* Demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail
* Be able to work as part of a Team or on your own initiative
* Be flexible as regards shift work patterns (as our operation covers Monday to Sunday and includes early and late shifts)
* Have a good standard of health / level of fitness, and be capable of, and comfortable with, physical activity
Specific responsibilities in this role include:
* Ensuring compliance with HACCP at all times
* Washing all crockery and cutlery as used in the normal course of dining
* Maintaining your own working area so that it is clean, tidy, and safe
* Supporting your Kitchen Team colleagues at all times, particularly during busy times. A very high level of operational efficiency is critical to this role
* Carrying out all cleaning duties as requested and to Company standards, including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and areas as required/necessary
* Completing all checklists and records fully and accurately, in a timely manner
* Assisting with food preparation when requested
* Complying with health & safety-related policies and practices and with health & safety training
