Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medications. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will contribute to the overall efficiency of our pharmacy operations.
Duties:
1. Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescription medications
2. Prepare and package medications for distribution
3. Maintain proper inventory levels of medications and supplies
4. Perform data entry and maintain patient records
5. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
6. Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
7. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to policies and procedures
8. Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards
Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred
2. Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) is highly desirable
3. Previous experience working as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required
4. Strong knowledge of medication names, dosages, and uses
5. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation

1. Pharmacy technician expertise: Possess a thorough understanding of pharmacy operations, medication administration, and patient care.
2. Patient care: Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with patients.
