About the Role
You will be supporting our team as a Continuous Improvement Technician. This role involves but is not limited to:
* Supporting Lean implementation within the organisation.
* Supporting Lean systems activities, Kaizen events and visual management.
* Implementing and maintaining MDI boards for all cells.
* Executing monthly 5S audits on all assigned cells in a timely manner.
* Completing accurate time observation sheets as required.
* Conducting line balancing exercises.
* Couching other staff in Lean systems methodologies, teaching them to see waste and facilitating structured problem solving (Problem statement, Ishikawa, 5 whys etc.).
* Highlighting opportunities for improvement within the clean rooms using the TIMWOOD categories.
* Ensuring GROWTTH methodologies are adhered to and that GROWTTH and Lean Business becomes ingrained in the company culture.
* Ensuring that all changes are implemented in compliance with the QMS, (ISO13485 / FDA) and the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001) and other regulatory requirements relevant to the Company.
* Ensuring that health and safety requirements are considered before implementing change so that potential hazards or risks are identified and mitigated.
Qualifications
* A qualification in Lean Systems, preferably Green Belt. If not, extensive experience in implementing waste reduction programs/projects using TQM / JIT or similar programmes. Lean Systems Green Belt must be achieved within 9 months of start.
* Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement methodology (Kaizen, 3P, 5S, SMED, MDI etc).
* Experience in Visual Management, 5S and MDI is desirable.
* Comprehensive knowledge of IT business systems including Business systems (preferably IQMS), Quality systems and other computer based systems.
* Excellent communication, training and problem solving skills with high levels of personal drive and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, strong technical acumen.
