This role works over a 4 shift cycle working 12 hour shifts. You will be joining a market leading manufacturing organisation with great career opportunities. Easily commutable from areas in Cavan, Meath, Monaghan, Louth and north county Westmeath. Requirements: Must have Plastic Thermo-forming and Extrusion experience Hold a HNC / HND Diploma in a Technical field such as Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Good mechanical aptitude with previous Technical experience Experience of supervising a continuous production line Ability to troubleshoot, be a methodical & logical thinker & be hands on in their approach Excellent communication skills with colleagues at all levels Key Duties & Responsibilities: Set up, tear down and cleaning of extrusion machines and ancillary equipment. Operate extruders and ancillary equipment. Operate and Support Thermo-forming Operation. Troubleshoot issues as needed Read and interpret customer and internal product specifications and prints Perform quality inspections on products using a variety of measurement equipment including but not limited to Pin gages, Micro-meters, Vernier Callipers, Video Microscopes, Laser Micro-meters, Ultra-sound measurements. Maintain accurate production and QC records. Lead the investigation of warranties for products, ensuring correcting actions are effectively implemented Perform Melt Flow Rate analysis on raw materials Monitor, maintain and improve daily production / stock levels Carry out housekeeping activities to keep area neat and safe Drive continuous improvement programs, striving to improve the manufacturing process & labour variances Actively participate in the research and development of new products with follow through to Production Maintain and improve material efficiencies and investigate material variances Other duties as directed by management If you have the relevant qualifications and experience and are interested in this position, please apply now and Ciara who is based in our Northeast office will be in contact if you are suitable.
